A master's degree is not awarded upon completion of this non-degree program.
This non-degree graduate program meets the requirements for the Pennsylvania Department of Education instructional certificate in either Business, Computer, and Information Technology K-12 or Marketing (Distributive) Education K-12. The curriculum aims to combine these elements in such proportions as to give students a balanced perspective of the relation that career and technical education bears to education as a whole. Subject area content (occupational competency assessment credit for industry experience) and professional education content are combined with general education content (university curriculum) in order to provide the student with professional teacher training in their field of specialization. Candidates must have an undergraduate or a graduate degree in a business-related area in order to apply to the program. Temple's Career & Technical Education program is designed to prepare students who expect to teach career and technical education subjects in grades K-12. With our 24-credit Business, Computer, and Information Technology (BCIT) certification, youll have the credentials to teach business PK-12.
